Privacy and security, treated as requirements — not marketing

How Vuelytics handles video data, access, retention, and model governance across every deployment model.

Privacy by design

The platform is built detection-first — configured to capture the minimum data needed for a given detection, rather than continuous unstructured recording by default.

Encryption

Video streams, metadata, and stored evidence are encrypted in transit and at rest across cloud, edge, and on-premises deployments.

Access control

Role-based access controls govern who can view live feeds, footage, alerts, and reports — scoped by site, zone, and role.

Audit logs

Every account action — viewing footage, acknowledging an alert, exporting evidence — is recorded in a tamper-evident audit trail.

Retention

Retention periods for raw video, detection metadata, and evidence are configurable per customer policy and deployment model.

Data residency

On-premises and edge deployment options keep data within your network. Cloud deployment residency options are discussed per region during onboarding.

Responsible AI

Detection models are evaluated for accuracy on representative scenarios before release, with documented limitations rather than blanket accuracy claims.

Model governance

Model versions, training data provenance, and change history are tracked internally to support customer and regulatory review requests.

Compliance status

Where we are, honestly

We only mark a certification complete once it's actually issued. Here's our current status.

SOC 2 Type II

Audit process underway — certification not yet issued.

In Progress

ISO 27001

Scoping phase — timeline to be confirmed.

Planned

GDPR readiness

Data-processing documentation in review with legal counsel.

In Progress

We deliberately don't list certifications as complete until they're verified and issued. Ask your solutions engineer for the latest status ahead of a security review.
